Recruitment of an Associate Professor (Maître de conférences)

Permanent position Beginning: 01/09/2026

The successful candidate will deliver teaching in cybersecurity, Windows/Linux systems, and virtualization within the BUT in Networks and Telecommunications at the IUT of Béthune. He/she will also contribute to student supervision, educational projects, and collective academic responsibilities.

In research, the candidate must have a strong scientific background and solid expertise in Artificial Intelligence applied to at least one of the laboratory’s scientific themes: decision-making and information fusion, or optimization of complex systems. He/she will conduct research in AI applied to autonomous robotics, drones, and Industry 4.0 within the LGI2A, with strong involvement in national projects and academic and industrial collaborations.

Teaching profile

The recruited candidate will join the Networks and Telecommunications Department, Cybersecurity track, at the IUT of Béthune. He/she will teach across all three years of the BUT program, in both initial training and apprenticeship programs. Primary responsibilities will include lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in cybersecurity and computer systems (Windows/Linux). Teaching experience in virtualization, Windows environments, automation of system administration tasks, and directory services management will be particularly appreciated.

Like all members of the team, the candidate will participate in the supervision of apprentices and interns (company visits, report evaluations, oral defenses), contribute to team-based educational activities (SAEs, project incubators), be open to innovative teaching methods, and take part in shared administrative duties (program coordination, timetabling, and other responsibilities).
